My name is Mike Brown and I live in Elfindale Cape Town. Josh is my son and I am starting this fund to help pay for the surgery he needs urgently, due to no medical aid cover.
On Saturday, 17 August 2019, Josh played his heart out for his School rugby team (Wynberg Boys High in Cape Town, South Africa). Unfortunately, Josh went in for the same tackle as a fellow player tackling from the other side and their heads clashed, hitting Josh in the face and cracking his facial bones on his right side in 3 places.
Josh needs reconstructive surgery to repair and move his cheekbone back into place. The cost of this surgery is approximately R200 000 and we are raising money to help Josh.
I am hoping to raise the funds by the end of September 2019.
By receiving the surgery, his face will be healed and Josh will be able to eat normally and smile again.
Funds will go directly to Josh surgery costs.

Hi All
Josh’s surgery has been succesful and the Brown Family, Melja and I would like to thankyou for your selfless contributions and prayers for Josh.
Family, friends, Golfing friends, Roy Gomez and the Brandfolio Family, ex colleagues, business associates, WHBS,WBJS, Wynberg Old Boys, SACS parents, Vineyard Swimming community, Parents and the broader school community, including everyone locally and abroad Thankyou a miilion times over!!!
I would also like to take the opportunity to say a special thankyou to the hospital staff at Constantiaberg Medi Clinic, Groote Schuur Hospital, Rennaisance Clinic, Dr Haly Holmes, Dr Ebrahim Fakir, Dr Tim Kambarami, Joy Oldale and Earl Bartnicke for their love and support!
I am sure that once recovered, Josh will want to thank each of you personally as well where possible.
The money raised to date will cover Josh’s surgery and post op recovery.
