Anton Jordaan – Swimming South Africa Compliance Officer Executive
Administrator “career”:
- Anton started as a League coordinator in the 1994/5 season for the then Gauteng Noord Laerskole Swemvereniging.
- Elected as executive member of Gauteng Schools’ Aquatics Committees in 2001 (I am still a member of this committee).
- Thereafter, Executive member of USSASA Aquatics until the time that it was dissolved, after which I was elected as Executive member of SA Schools’ Aquatics (I am still a member of this committee).
- Elected as President of NTS in 2007 (a position I still hold)
- Elected as President of Aquatics Gauteng in 2016 (I acted in this position after Cathy Doyle passed away in 2012).
- Anton also serves as Executive member of Gauteng School Sport (a multi coded structure for School Sport in Gauteng) and the Sport Council.
- Anton is currently also the Chairperson of the SSA Selection Committee.
- Anton is a Senior Technical Official and one of only two qualified Para Swim Technical Officials in the Country.
- Over the years, he has managed several Teams.I have done this as a volunteer – my full time career being that of a Lecturer in Cost Accounting at Unisa.
