Dear CTA Clubs,
Attached please find summary of dates, venues and events for our SOLIDARITY MEETS.

1. Curro Durbanville
2. Wynberg Military Aquatics Centre
3. Generations Somerset West (used to be Reddam)
4. Fairmont Aquatics Centre (ONLY QuickSilver & Tygers)
5. Sweet Valley (ONLY Vineyard, Camps Bay & Westridge)

In a nutshell, there are 4 confirmed available venues. We make use of 2 dates per venue per meet. Should club A,B,C,D,E,F want to all participate at Curro Durbanville. Club A,B,C will compete on day 1 (i.e., 13 Feb) and Club D,E,F will compete on day 2(i.e. 14Feb)

CTA LONG DISTANCE Solidarity Meet (12 Feb’21)

• Long distances will be swum at all venues. Fairmont is available ONLY TO Quicksilver & Tygers swimmers. Sweet Valley is available ONLY to Vineyard, Camps Bay & Westridge swimmers.
• Swimmers 12 years & Over can only swim the 1500 should they have either an 800 or 400 free time on the DB.
• Swimmers 12 years & Over can only swim the 800 should they have a time on the DB for the 400free.
• Swimmers who would like to get the 400 & 800 split times in the 1500 event, can do so, but must enter all 3 events.
• Entry fees: R40 per event (R10 will go to the hosting club/venue)
• Swimmers should be fully registered on the DB & have a unique COVID-19 number.
• 1 Session
• Entries: Vineyard will send you the link to do your entries. Must be in (NO LATE ENTRIES) by Thursday evening, 7:00pm (28th Jan)
• No out of district swimmers will be allowed.

CTA LEVEL 2+ Solidarity Meets (13 & 14 Feb’21) (50’s, 100’s & 200IM)

• Swimmers may swim a max of 5 events.
• Entry fees: R40 per event (R10 will go to the hosting club/venue)
• Swimmers should be fully registered on the DB & have a unique COVID-19 number.
• 3 Sessions
• Entries: Vineyard will send you the link to do your entries. Entries must be in (NO LATE ENTRIES) by Thursday evening 7:00pm (28th Jan)
• No out of district swimmers will be allowed.

CTA LEVEL 1 Solidarity Meets (20, 21 Feb’21) (25’s, 50’s, 100IM & 200IM)

• Swimmers may swim a max of 5 events.
• Entry fees: R40 per event (R10 will go to the hosting club/venue)
• Swimmers should be registered on the DB appropriately & have a unique COVID-19 number.
• Level 1 has 4 sessions of which the last session is set out for schools’ swimmers or LTS swimmers, we will have to ask for assistance from our qualified officials for these sessions.
• Should a swimmer enter for the 25m in an event, he/she cannot participate in the 50m event of the same stroke.
• Entries: Vineyard will send you the link to do your entries. Entries must be in (NO LATE ENTRIES) by Thursday evening 7:00pm (28th Jan)
• No out of district swimmers will be allowed.

All venues will initially be set up as a 6 lane meet. It may be lesser or more, depending on the number of entries received.

Half an hour break in between sessions for sanitizing, no warmups, only static.

Hopefully, the restrictions will lift for us to host a proper QUALIFYING MEET at the end of February. If not, we will revert to this format.

1. Clubs must inform me via email by 16h00 tomorrow at which of the 3 available venues they would like to compete.
2. As well as on which day, either Saturday or Sunday.
3. Once confirmed, I will forward the events zip file accordingly.
4. All swimmers, officials & coaches that will be entering the venues, MUST complete the link provided below by no later than 9AM on the 01st of February 2021.
5. If your name is not on this list, you will not be granted access to the venue.

6. Parents, please understand that NO SPECTATORS are allowed.
7. By congregating outside of the venue and peering over walls or sitting in a crowd with the intention of viewing the gala you are creating a super-spreader crowd environment and thereby putting the continuance of the competition at risk.
8. Parents can watch their children if they sign up as an official for the sessions.
9. Please note that should a club not have judges as officials, they need to source their judges on their own from other clubs and pay a R150 service fee to said official.
