Special Instructions: 28th Jan
ACCESS CONTROL
- ONLY LOC, Vendors, Medics & Sound will be allowed to enter via the MAIN GATE. If your name is not on the list, you will not be granted access.
- Coaches & officials must park at the pre-school. Access to the Aquatics Centre will be through the little gate at the round-about.
- NO SPECTATORS are allowed.
- Swimmers, officials & coaches will be screened and signed in at the gate and from there they need to access the pool through the main doors in the parking area.
- Drop and go for parents please – we need to keep the traffic controlled and not create traffic jams.
- Spectators will not be granted access to the school ground through the little gate – so please do not tell the volunteers at the gate that you are escorting your child to the pool.
- This is a controlled area, should you still feel uneasy to leave your swimmer, please arrange with your coaches to collect them at the little gate.
- Vendors will be on site on the grass area nearest to the parking lot.
- The school is hosting an athletics event on Saturday on the big fields adjacent to the Aquatics Area, therefor no vehicles inside the school area.
- Please adhere to these access control rules.

- “Times from January 2021 that are on the database may be used.” – CT Champs
- Below report are your Best Times, both SCM and LCM, of galas swum since 1st Jan 2021. Please use this report to decide on which events you will be swimming. Remember, you must have times on the database to enter that event. Enter events you have qualified in plus 3 additional events plus any of the 50’s you have times for. (Please read the Info Letter above for the exact rules.)

“Sorry about the short notice but we have just been informed by UWC that from now on only vaccinated persons will be allowed through the gates at the university. This includes athletes, officials, spectators, etc.
“For this reason, we have decided to postpone the B-Champs until we can source a suitable venue.

Important Rules (see the Information Letter)
- Participation at the CHAMPIONSHIP gala, will be dependent on the swimmer being FULLY registered.
- Please note that the swimmers age is at the first day of the competition.
- All events will be swum as timed finals.
- Swimmers may enter the CHAMPIONSHIP if they have participated in 2 CAPE TOWN AQUATICS meets in the 2021/2022 season.
- Swimmers may not enter events with a NT.
- SANJ+ swimmers may swim the events they have qualified for and the events with CT3 qualifying times in the SANJ+ session only. There are no qualifying times for any of the 50’s events (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly). Swimmers who have qualified in any event may in addition to their 3 unqualified additional events (100m and longer), choose any of the 50’s provided they have times on the database for the particular event.
- Swimmers 11&u with SANJ Qt’s may compete in the Level 3 session. Please note that should swimmer choose to swim down, he/she MUST compete ONLY in the Level 3 session.
- LEVEL 3 swimmers may swim the events they have qualified for and the events with CT2 qualifying times in the LEVEL 3 session only. There are no qualifying times for any of the 50’s events (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly). Swimmers who have qualified in any event may in addition to their 3 unqualified additional events (100m and longer), choose any of the 50’s provided they have times on the database for the particular event.
- Swimmers 10&u with Level 3 QT’s may compete in the Level 2 session. Please note that should swimmer choose to swim down, he/she MUST compete ONLY in the Level 2 session.
- LEVEL 2 swimmers may swim the events they have qualified for and the events with CT1+ qualifying times in the LEVEL 2 session only.
- Swimmers 9&u that has achieved one Level 2 qualifying time may participate at CTA Level 1 CHAMPIONSHIPS as well.
- Heats will be swum fast to slow.
