Galas: 5 litres per swimmer for the pool

Cape Town Metro Aquatics (CTMA) has appealed to every swimmer to bring 5 litres of water for the pool to each gala they participate in.

“There has been some confusion as to what the swimmers must do with the water when they arrive at the gala.”

“On arrival, the swimmers may drop the bottles of water off near to the announcer’s table. The pool maintenance team will take the bottles of water and fill up the pool, treat the water, etc as they need to. The swimmers will not decanter the water into the pool themselves, as this will effect the chemical balance in the pool.”
